Feigned Facilitator
• There is a want to build community and relationships, but only if it comes without risk.
• There is a want to share spaces, but only if it doesn’t alter what’s available.
• There is a want to create communal connection, but there is no emotional availability.
• There are asks for wants and needs to be met, but they’re only answered when it is convenient.
• There is a want for depth from those who arrive, but the call for depth comes from the shallows.
• There is a want for expansion, but there is no space for it in the narrow place occupied.
• There is a want for carrying feelings that are heavy, but there is no strength to reciprocate similar burdens.
• There is a want for safety and the expectation to prioritize it, but the dangers are ignored when they arrive and are called pressure so it relieves accountability while ignoring the lack of capacity.
• There is a claim to want love to facilitate all of this, but no showing up to make it a reality.

Often true, but does it beg the question. What betrayals, injustices, disappointments and violations of trust, have brought us to this place. And how do we heal that and find our way back. How do we shed the protective armor that now 'protects' us from what we long for.
